Bollywood- A Place to Make Films Or A Workshop of Crime?

In 2020, Bollywood has redefined its meaning to everyone out there. Those who had a gut feeling that the largest entertainment industry that runs in Mumbai is only there for making films and the career of hundreds of young artists each year, then they are wrong.

Apart from making films, Bollywood is known for various other things quite secretly. We will start by listing the role of drugs in the first slot.

Drugs

When we talk about drugs, it's not just limited to Bollywood but across the country. So many drug rackets have been seized by NCB in the recent past.

But what looks quite indifferent is the fact that a major part of the consignment is served into the parties and bash organized by all those high society people and those connected with the industry.

Right after the Sushant Singh Rajput case has come to the surface, drugs angle has opened widely. Even NCB was shocked to know that almost 90% Bollywood consumes drugs.

But what looks more horrified is the fact that most small scale artists and stars are indulged into the business of supplying drugs in large amounts. This is  crime and the agency has arrested as many as 26 people from the industry so far.

Most recently, the manager of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). In short, the industry is actively engaged with loads of drugs peddlers who supply drugs to different people across the industry.

All the above revelation came out after the investigating agencies started their probe into the matter. We are quite sure that the actual picture will come out in the middle as the probe deepens.

Casting Couch

You might have seen in the news that the industry is also responsible for casting couch, another crime against female artists. As per the industry insiders, those who like to act as an actress has to compromise.

Well, this is how it goes in Bollywood and so many artists have spoken about it in the middle including Kangana Rannaut. Right after the Sushant Singh Rajput case, many artists have came forward to narrate their own story regarding casting couch.

Nepotism

Another crime happening in Bollywood is none other than nepotism that means only those people will get work and other assignments who have their godfathers in Bollywood.

And so, all the newcomers who come to join the industry (like Sushant Singh Rajput) either have to undergo criticism by different lobbies in the film industry. In some rare cases, if they try to excel due to their own hard work, they are even killed.

When we talk about nepotism in Bollywood, we can't stop ourselves in taking the names of director Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and more who give work to those who are their family members or come from the same background.

Each year, hundreds of young talent is crushed in Bollywood who come here to fulfil their dreams. The only reason being they happen to be all alone in the industry.
